Les tentacules souples sont en silicone.  Il est peu probable qu\u2019ils causent des l\u00e9sions tissulaires et contiennent une s\u00e9rie d\u2019aimants qui peuvent \u00eatre influenc\u00e9s par des robots magn\u00e9tiques externes.  Les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent que cette technologie ouvrira la voie \u00e0 des proc\u00e9dures mini-invasives pour les patients atteints d\u2019un cancer du poumon.  Lors des tests effectu\u00e9s jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, les tentacules souples, qui ne mesurent que 2 mm de diam\u00e8tre, pourraient p\u00e9n\u00e9trer 37 % plus loin dans les poumons que les \u00e9quipements conventionnels.  Les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent que la technologie pourrait cr\u00e9er la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019interventions mini-invasives dans certaines des plus petites bronches, \u00e9vitant ainsi la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une intervention chirurgicale hautement invasive.<\/p>\n<p>Le cancer du poumon a souvent un mauvais pronostic et, dans de nombreux cas, l&rsquo;ablation chirurgicale du tissu pulmonaire constitue la norme de soins.  Cependant, cette m\u00e9thode est tr\u00e8s invasive et peut affecter consid\u00e9rablement la fonction pulmonaire, tout en ne convenant pas \u00e0 tous les patients.  D\u00e9velopper des approches moins invasives pour aider \u00e0 \u00e9liminer les tumeurs serait le bienvenu, mais les bronches sont petites et tortueuses, en particulier lorsque l&rsquo;on avance dans les recoins les plus \u00e9loign\u00e9s de l&rsquo;arbre bronchique. Mesurant seulement 2 mm de diam\u00e8tre, ces tentacules en silicone sont manipul\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019aimants et sont d\u00e9crits comme \u00e9tant de forme contr\u00f4lable par les chercheurs.  \u00ab\u00a0Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un d\u00e9veloppement vraiment passionnant\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Pietro Valdastri, l&rsquo;un des cr\u00e9ateurs de la technologie.  \u00ab Cette nouvelle approche a l\u2019avantage d\u2019\u00eatre sp\u00e9cifique \u00e0 l\u2019anatomie, plus douce que l\u2019anatomie et enti\u00e8rement contr\u00f4lable via le magn\u00e9tisme.  Ces trois caract\u00e9ristiques principales ont le potentiel de r\u00e9volutionner la navigation \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du corps.    <!-- ASYNC UAT M - 300x250(t,r) - --><\/p>\n<p><!-- END ASYNC UAT M - 300x250(t,r) --><\/p>\n<p>Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que les chercheurs ont \u00e9galement invent\u00e9 une autre application pour les tentacules, qui consistait \u00e0 simuler une chirurgie endonasale du cerveau avec une r\u00e9plique du cr\u00e2ne.  Les chercheurs ont utilis\u00e9 une paire de robots tentacules qui travaillaient ensemble.
